September Favourites

I feel like I have come a long way since the first of September. I was signed off from work due to my mental health. I had the time to discover new things and go on adventures which luckily didn’t change the moment I went back to work due to holiday I already had booked off. It became a nice transition month and not just because of the seasons and weather. So here are some of my favourite things from the past month.

0.1 Smoothie Magic

Although I love making my own smoothies I have fallen in love with this one from Innocent. Its called the ‘ENERGISE’ smoothie and includes one of my favourite fruits cherries. I tend to have one every Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday morning when I’m at work and occasionally grab a full size bottle to take home with me when I’m feeling a little to lazy or depressed to make my own smoothie and it works a treat as a little pick me up and works as 1 of my 5 a day.

0.2 Adventure Time

I have been very focused this month on making Mondays magical. I’m quite lucky that I actually get Mondays off unlike some people, however the stigma that comes with a Monday morning is still there. In the last 3 weeks I have had some incredible Mondays spent with friends and family in various different places. On the 11th I went to Alton Towers for the first time in 5 years with some of Ben and his brother Matt’s friends. On the 18th I was at Disneyland Paris with my family and friends of the family including fellow youtuber and blogger Jade. Lastly on the 25th Ben and I went up to London for the day to go to Madame Tussauds and do some sightseeing, we were also able to get tickets for Wicked.

I will have separate posts about the trips coming very soon which will go into detail about everything that happened on these trips, but for now I just want to say thank you to my friends, family and of course Ben for making these Mondays extra wonderful this month.

0.3 Breakfast

From banana bread, to scrambled egg, to smoothie bowls and fruit. In the past I have never really been one for getting up and having breakfast, most of the time preferring to lie in bed till midday then just have lunch, but this month I have been consciously making more of an effort to get up early enough to have breakfast. I found my love for smoothie bowls quite early in the month after scrolling through Instagram. Two of my favourite fruits to use are cherries, kiwis and of course bananas.

0.4 Piercings

I finally bit the bullet this month and after years of pining and longing got my ears pierced again. I got three piercings in one sitting which were each of my second holes and my helix. I am completely in love with them if not also obsessing over their healing process. After the nightmare that was my daith piercing five years ago I have to say these are currently healing quite nicely and I can’t wait till my lobes are fully healed so I can mix and match my earrings to my hearts content.

0.5 Long Jumpers & Even Longer Skirts

This month I have become obsessed with teaming up oversized jumpers with midi or maxi skirts. There’s something about it that looks so relaxed yet still put together that I just love and works well for autumn giving off a cosy vibe. My favourite pairing at the moment is this oversized cream jumper for SHEIN and this tartan midi skirt from ASOS. I like to pair the outfit with some token biker boots for that extra grunge look.

0.6 Quotes

Having overhauled my life since being diagnosed with depression at the end of August I have accumulated a few quotes which have been helping me and guiding me and trying to keep me on track with where I want to be by the end of the year. Some of them are well known and others, not so much but hopefully you can find one that connects with you and inspires you the way they have for me.
